Act 246 - Mifepristone & Misoprostol as Controlled Substances
UAN: 0133-0000-24-017-L03-P Act 246 passed in the 2024 Louisiana Legislative Session and became effective on October 1, 2024. The Act added mifepristone and misoprostol to Schedule IV of the state's Controlled Substances Act. This learning session is for pharmacists to know what to anticipate and how to reduce barriers to patients' access to Mifepristone and Misoprostol for medically necessary and legal uses, as well as how to troubleshoot issues related to access.

Meeting Platform and Tech RequirementsWebinars are hosted using Zoom Meetings. You will receive a link via email the week prior to the meeting allowing you to “Pre-Check In.” This will require you to check in on Zoom. Continuing Education CreditThe Louisiana Pharmacists Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. The activities will expire 12/31/2024.

CancellationsCancellations received before 7 business days prior to the activity are subject to a charge of 50% of registration fees per person. Cancellations following said date are subject to forfeiture of all registration fees.
