LPA Committees and charges
- Work with previous award recipients to select from nominations the recipient of each Association award
- Maintain the criteria and nominating process for all Association awards
- Regularly review bylaws and make suggestions to BOD for needed changes
- Administer the Scholarship Fund
- Make proper rules and regulations with reference to the selection of a person or persons
- Raise funds by voluntary contributions or otherwise
- Prepare and submit a budget to be considered by the Board of Directors at its February meeting
- Oversee finances of the Association
- Oversee Association efforts to retain and recruit members
- Oversee the Mentor Program
- Provide guidance in matching mentors and mentees
- Assist in the promoting the program
- Before the end of February, submit to the Association a list of candidates for Association offices
- Review monthly public service announcements and other publicly released information
- Oversee and assist in planning Association meetings
- Oversee Association publications
- Assist in securing new member benefits
- Receive from members at large resolutions for consideration of the members present and voting at the Annual Meeting
- Present all resolutions to the Board
- Develop the Association's long range direction
- Conduct the Board's strategic planning retreat
