The Louisiana Board of Pharmacy has re-Issued the following emergency rules:

Project 2015-4 ~ Compounding for Office Use for Veterinarians

Project 2015-5 ~ Electronic Signature on Facsimile Prescription

From the Board of Pharmacy:

During their May 27 meeting, the Board voted to approve these regulatory proposals for promulgation.  Due to the urgent nature of the underlying practice issues, the Board also adopted declarations of emergency and issued emergency rules which became effective on June 1, 2015.  Since that time, the Board has published the Notices of Intent and conducted a public hearing on August 26 to receive comments and testimony on the proposed rules.  With respect to the compounding rule, the Board will consider those comments during their next meeting on November 18.  With respect to the electronic signature rule, the Board received no comments and filed its report with the legislature.  Since the emergency rules will expire before the formal rulemaking process has been completed, the Board has directed the re-issuance of the emergency rules, with no changes to the content of the proposed rules, effective September 21, 2015.  Copies of the required notices for the re-issuance of the emergency rules are available above as well as in the Public Library section of the Board's website.
