Pharmacists Only Objectives:

1.Determine a best practice for cleaning their compounding area based on environmental sampling and cleaning product type.

2.Implement an environmental sampling program that follows best practices.

3.Determine risk categories for compounded sterile products.

4.Review current concerns of regulatory agencies dealing with compounded sterile products.

5.Identify methods of preventing errors during sterile compounding.

6.Develop a systematic approach towards initiating compliance with USP 800 Standards.

 

Pharmacy Technician Only Objectives:

1.Differentiate between disinfectants and antiseptics and use the products appropriately when cleaning the compounding area.

2.Recognize personal practices that may allow contamination into the clean room.

3.Review current concerns of regulatory agencies dealing with compounded sterile products.

4.Recognize preventing errors during sterile compounding.

5.Recognize a systematic approach towards initiating compliance with USP 800 Standards.
